Bio Joel Plaskett has been called 'quirky' more times than Johnny Depp.
Originally from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Plaskett has been active in the East Coast indie music scene since the early 1990s. Rob Benvie, Ian McGettigan,
Michael Catano and Plaskett created Thrush Hermit in 1992. They disbanded in 1999. Plaskett went on to front Joel Plaskett Emergency and
produced such killer albums as In Need of Medical Attention (1999), Down at the Khyber (2001), Truthfully, Truthfully (2003),
La De Da (2005) and Ashtray Rock (2007). In 2009, Plaskett released his triple-album Three; 3 CDs containing 9 songs, many of which
contained three words in the title.
