Interview: Shotgun Jimmie
By Sarah Henderson
(10/17/09)

SHOTGUN JIMMIE Shotgun Jimmie, also known as Jimmie Kilpatrick and one of the past members of Shotgun and Jaybird, is heading out on a European tour. There's something incredibly poetic about leaving Sackville, New Brunswick behind for the streets of Paris.

Ok, Shotgun Jimmie: introduce yourself using only adjectives.
Outgoing, paranoid, obsessive, bogus, tubular.

You've toured Europe before. When is your first date? Where are you most excited to play (or return to?)
I've only toured Europe as a tourist. The tour starts in the spring. I'm most excited about France, because of the cheese.

Who will be your tour mates this time around?
The Burning Hell and Construction and Destruction. I really enjoy being on the road with Dave and Colleen; it's been a while, so I'm really excited.

Do you find there is a difference in the European reception of your music than that of the Canadian reception?
(see answer #2)

What are you looking forward to most in your travels that you just can't find in Sackville?
Reasonably priced produce and good socks.

Last but not least- who would win in a fight: Shotgun Jimmie or Harrison Ford?
I think Harrison Ford would win in a fight. I would probably try to get his autograph and receive a sucker punch. I've never met Harrison Ford, but he seems like he'd be pretty good at scrapping.
