You Be April Stevens, I’ll Be April Wine

Behold, the video for the first single from Joel Plaskett's triple album, Three: "Through and Through and Through". Below is a list of things I love about this video.

1) It was obviously shot in the Maritimes.

2) Joel's paper boy/hip jazz cat hat.

3) Joel drives a 4-wheeler... and then a red convertible. Nice.

4) Joel looks very slightly uncomfortable while sitting in a boat being rowed at high(ish) speeds.

5) It features a tandem bicycle, ridden by Rose Cousins and Ana Egge.

6) Joel sits in a tractor's front end loader... thing...

7) ...with a huge-ass ghetto-blaster on his lap.

8) Joel Plaskett is the only guy (in my mind) who can make a pink shirt seem cool.

9) Plaskett, at one point, rides in a sidecar. (I would very much like to ride in a sidecar. Ha.)

10) He holds up a lobster strap. (Somewhere in my house is a picture of me in a lobster trap, down at the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg, NS- which just happens to be where Joel is originally from!)

11) Joel's shoes, seen where he's on the skateboard.

12) Joel's shoes, seen where he's falling off the skateboard, after trying to do a cool trick.

Enjoy!
